What is a Dental Warranty?

A dental warranty is a type of guarantee offered by a dental practice that covers the cost of certain dental services if they fail or need to be redone within a specified period of time. It provides patients with an added layer of protection and peace of mind knowing that they won't have to pay out-of-pocket for certain procedures if they need to be repeated or fixed.

What Does a Dental Warranty Cover?

Covered procedures are Fillings, Bondings, Crowns, Buildups, Posts, Bridges, Inlays, Onlays, Porcelain Veneers, Dental Implants, Abutments, Implant Crowns, Dentures, Partial Dentures, Sport Mouth Guards, Bite Splints, Bruxism Guards, Snore Guards, Sleep Apnea Appliances, Retainers, Root Canals, Bone Grafts, Crown Lengthening, Gum Grafts, Sinus Lift Treatment, and Clear Aligners.

What is the Term of a Dental Warranty?

The term of our dental warranty is 5 years. Coverage starts on the day the original procedure has been completed.

What is the Coverage Amount for the Original Procedure?

Each covered procedure is protected up to the original cost of the dental treatment. For example, an £1800 crown is covered for up to £1800.

How Does SmileSafe Pay Claims?

Claims are paid with a credit card or we can mail a cheque to the dental practice.

Is it required for the patient to take any action to maintain the continuity of the coverage?

Yes. Patients must go back to the dental practice that performed the original procedure for regular check-ups every 6 months.

What happens if the original dental practice has closed or the patient has moved?

In this case, the patient should visit his or her new dentist and ask them to get in touch with the SmileSafe in order to process the claim.

What type of training/support does SmileSafe provide to the dental practices?

SmileSafe provides all the necessary marketing materials as well as the sales and claims processing training.
